I think that those who "can't even pay attention to the unsubscribe instructions at the end of each email" are generally those who subscribe and want to leave as soon as they realise what they've subscribed to (we have them on the HPUX list too), but the majority of these people don't ever post question (or maybe one)/answers. So, no I don't think that this (minority) will listen to that.
