Thanks

I installed the printtool and added the remote printer. Printtool
updates the /etc/printcap file. It seems to work now.

Does this mean I have to add every remote printer in my printcap config
file?

However. The problem is solved now, but I don't understand why it worked
on the redhat system? I checked and their was no entry for the remote
printer in the printcap file.

Meanwhile I noticed that rlpr provides the same functionality as lpr on
my old redhat system.
