look at the debian mailing list home page. One of the lists is 'debian-isp -- Debian at work in Internet Service Providers'. If they are willing to run Debian, I do not see why you would not be. Exchange can be a bear to interoperate with from any OS other than Windows. Beyond that everything should be clear sailing.
