Than try: cp /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-2.so.3 /usr/lib/libstdc++-lib6.1-1.so.2
I had the same problem, or similar, when installing Java. This is how I solved it, and it works perfectly fine now. The alternative would be to download the libraries from Debian via apt-get. Just figure out what package libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 is in, and download it. (==timothy==) ===================================== That didn't work. It came back with a cp: cannot stat /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: no such file or directory This is the output of /usr/lib ls |less (or atleast part of it) libssl.so.0.9.4 libssl.so.0.9.6 libssl3.so libstdc++-3-libc6.1-2-2.10.0.so libstdc++-3-libc6.2-2-2.10.0.so libstdc++-libc6.1-2.so.3 libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 libstdc++.so.3 libstdc++.so.3.0.2 libswft.so libtcl8.2.so.1 libtiff.so.3 libtiff.so.3.5.5 libtk8.2.so.1 libungif.so.4 libungif.so.4.1.0 libutil.a libutil.so libvncauth.so.0 libvncauth.so.0.0 libwraster.so.2 libwraster.so.2.2.0 libxml.so.2 libxml2.so.2 libxml2.so.2.4.13 -----Original Message----- From: timothy bauscher [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, March 08, 2002 2:54 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: AIM Installation Errors Enter this as root in the command line: cp /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.3 /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 That should work!
