dselect uses various methods to access lists of new and
updated packages. apt serves wonderfully well as the method for
dselect -- you get the recommends and suggests handling of dselect,
and you get apt's upgrade mechanism ;-)
start dselect,
* 0. [A]ccess Choose the access method to use.
And then scroll down to:
* apt APT Acquisition [file,http,ftp]
Select that, and you'll be prompted to set up the sources.list
for apt (if you have spt configured already, decline to change the
sources.list.
