A few commands that are helpful here: # dpkg -l | grep openoffice (will show you anything in the Debian database that has the name openoffice) # dpkg -L openoffice (will show you all the files installed by openoffice) # dpkg --purge openoffice (will deinstall openoffice AND all configuration files) OpenOffice and StarOffice WILL co-exist nicely with each other, though.
