Progress:
Its a samsung lt133x2-122 and X sees it as having 4 MB RAM and a panel clock of 
65.14 MHz.

startx flickers up a gray screen and then collapses complaining of no valid 
mode at 800x600 and so on.

Anyone know why there's no valid mode?
