Just FYI, I have an old A7V w KX133 chipset that is suppose to be
very buggy with AGP and stuff. I have ATI Radeon and I think I only
had one lockup in about 6 months...

Disabling AGP gart might help. Also using x nv drivers might work
better than NVidia's drivers as the latter are geared for OpenGL
acceleration...
