Also, C++ support is amongst the worst culprit in the shared library
dance... according to the LSB, if you want to distribute C++
applications, you basically have to link them statically, as there's
just too much variation amongst the various versions.

gcc 3.0 should help with this situation once it becomes the standard
distro compiler.
