I just got a notebook with a PIII-M (intel's latest mobile chip) and all I
can get acpi to do for me is turn it off on powerdown. It won't even show me
battery status, because it thinks there are no batteries.
I did notice however that when I booted off of the battery once that
/proc/cpuinfo was reporting a 730MHz chip instead of 1GHz, but when I
plugged in the AC, it didn't increase.

Hopefully, we'll get better acpi by 2.4.20.
