try it: diamond.madduck.net at 66.92.234.132. ping is disabled from everywhere but a few stations also under my control, but:
%> ping -nc1 66.92.234.132 PING 66.92.234.132 (66.92.234.132): 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 66.92.234.132: icmp_seq=0 ttl=237 time=130.7 ms it pings. nmap reports ports 22 and 25 open, but when netcat'ing (or telnet'ing) to those, i don't even get the protocol header. this is pretty weird, and i don't even changed anything. so either it's hacked, or there is an explanation beyond my powers. -- martin; (greetings from the heart of the sun.) \____ echo mailto: !#^."<*>"|tr "<*> mailto:" [EMAIL PROTECTED] "there are more things in heaven and earth, horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." -- hamlet
