Thanks for the reply about setting up smarthost.  I reconfigured exim 
for that and It works.    But now All mail sent out from the machine 
gets bounced, saying:

Remote host said: 550 relaying to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> prohibited by 
administrator

Any ideas?

Sorry if this is out of the scope of this list.
