I hope this isn't a repeat of a problem that's been mentioned long ago--I searched a bit in the archives and have been watching the lists, and haven't seen anything that looked related.
When I start up Mozilla, the fonts are *huge*. I'm running at 1600x1200, and the 'File' menu item takes up the majority of the screen (nice scaling, by the way--not a bit blocky : ). I've tried: erasing my ~/.mozilla directory, purging and re-installing the mozilla package and related packages, installing mozilla-cvs (same problem), etc. I'm using Debian unstable (upgraded this morning)--I've been upgrading fairly regularly; this problem showed up maybe a week or two ago, and hasn't gone away yet (most unstable glitches seem to disappear in a day or two, so I was hopeful). Konqueror works fine. Galeon also works fine, now although if my memory serves me well, it used to be broken). I *have* noticed that it sometimes? always? works all right the first time I log in after X has been started, but after I log out (to kdm) and then log back in, it does this. If I reset the X server from kdm, and then log in again, I think it works fine (this is from memory--I can't try it again to be sure since I'm writing this here email : ). Anyway, If anyone's got any ideas of where to look or what to do, or can point me to a previous discussion of this problem, I'd appreciate. --Daniel T. P.S. I also tried purge/install of kdm, since that seemed like it might be having some effect. No dice. TIA. --Daniel
