There is a courier-authpostgresql package in unstable.
There is also a series of courier-imap-xxxx (mysql) package that seem to explicity do authentication for imap sessions.
what does the first one do? aren't they the same?
I mean, wouldn't you just create one authentication process for any server/client based access (imap, ssl-imap, pop, ssl-pop) and keep it simple?
My guess is that there are either some package changes taking place, or I'm really not understanding what Courier really does. I thought it was essientially a IMAP/POP server (like uw-imap) but with the capabilities of virtual hosting by keeping everything in it's own directories (rather than /etc/passwd based user directories like uw-imap).
In case you couldn't tell. I'm trying to migrate from uw-imap because I want to do the virtual hosting if possible. Ideally I would like to use postgresql as the backbone for this because I can also use this database as a postfix table lookup tool.
