im not sure if solaris 8 fixed it or not(i don't think it did). but solaris 7 did not have APM support, and it could not issue the HLT instruction. the result was the host OS would always be pegged at 100% cpu usage while solaris 7 was running under vmware. even on a p3-800 it was slow.. nate
