It's not dead, it's resting!

Seriously, gv's largely a wrapper on postscript.  It's mature, and it
pretty much works.  There's a bunch of runalikes for Gnome, KDE, etc.,
but the basic functionality's there.  Frankly, I wish more viewers were
as intuitively easy to use.
