Update:  just noticed I have a similar error ino ther programs -- I
ran dpkg-www for fun, and it gave me the following:

Cannot convert string "-*-*-medium-r-normal--14-*-*-*-c-*-iso8859-15"
to type FontStruct

Anybody have any idea where htis error comes from?
