iso9660 defaults,ro,user,noauto 0 0 " were typos .
First try using a different CD in your CD drive, and you can just put
"/dev/hdc /cdrom iso9660 defaults,ro,user,noauto 0 0" in fstab
Also, if that doesn't help, do you use custon-built / configured kernel?
