Hopefully your monitor can take 800x600. Do this: Go into the XF86Config fle. 
(Make sure there is only ONE.) Search for 640. Delete EVERY line with it. 
Delete all lower resolutions too, i.e. 320x240, and so forth. Set your 
DefaultColorDepth to 16, I imagine a P-75 can handle that. (Prolly a fairly 
new video card.)
