Is there any software in Debian to test a null modem? What I want is software to run on both ends that will exercise all control lines (DTR, DSR, RTS, and CTS) and display the values of these lines so I can see if my cable is good.
If there is no software in Debian to do this then is there some software on the net under a suitable license for packaging?
