Can anyone tell me where I can find out more about how files are created? I'm specifically interested in how permissions and membership are set and how this behavior can be modified.
ex: "bob" and "cindi" are in group "x", when bob creates a file in directory "xshare" (rwxrwx---), I want the group ownership set to x, with permissions wrxwrx---
