Can you try "acroread"? It seems to have the most complete PDF implementation. I've seen quite a few pdf docs that don't work in gnome-gv (gs as interpreter) but do work right in acroread. I don't know if they are non-conformant pdfs or if gs just isn't complete. HTH, -D
