Debian GNU/Linux 2.2r3
Mailbox (/var/spool/mail/user) has to be owned by the user who is recipient and group mail, otherwise the old, "mis-owned," mailbox gets renamed "BOGUS.blah," and a new mailbox with proper ownership gets created. But what is happening?. The new mailbox has root.mail owner. I
execute "chmod user.mail user" and without raising any
error message the result follow being the same "root.mail". Is there any known
'workaround' to solve it?.
