I have the ECSk7s5a mb with the SiS735 chipset. According to SiS linux support, the on board sound needs SiS7018 support in the kernel.
So i enabled it with CONFIG_SOUND_TRIDENT and tried it as a module and directly in the kernel. cat> /proc/pci shows the on board audio at irq 11. I can >modprobe ac97_codec ,but >modprobe trident says no device. Any clues?
