There are some docs on setting up X on a Dell Lattitude that I found by
googling.  I have it working on my Lattitude at home so when I get home I'll
forward you the XF86Config.  As for configuring X, your best bet is to run
"dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86"

If you can get it running on a smash-n-toss, certainly you can get it
running on a laptop!!! :-)
