If some problems with my keyboard and the german layout, I want to use.
All keys seem to work, according to the de-latin1-nodeadkeys.kmap, except the
modification ("a, "o, "u). They simply don't work.
As all other keys are working according to de-latin1-nodeadkeys, including
for example meta-q, I don't think, it's a keymap problem. Additionally, I
tried some other de keymaps, they behave all alike (concerning modifications).
And now, there's the strange part, after a logout or a reboot, the
modifications work at the login prompt, but as soon as I type one of those
letters, backspace isn't working anymore, to be more precise, it is working
as the typed letters are no longer part of the login-name, but it isn't, as
the cursor is not going back but producing some "ascii art" (one white
square, followed by two blanks and one white square).
I've already checked the standard keymap of course, it seems to be ok.
Anyone any idea?
