Does anyone know what it is that makes readline eat itself when a terminal is very wide?
Example: make an xterm 120 chars wide. Type in some long command that spans more than one line. Now up arrow to the prev command and back arrow through it. You'll notice that the display gets out of sorts. I know I'm not the only one to notice this. I plan to fix it because, dammit, I demand a 200-char wide psql window. I'm just fishing for some clues here in case anyone tried to chase this bug before. Anyway, I dunno if this is a Debian-particular problem but I didn't notice it on Slackware. -jwb
