Did you use /etc/apt/preference (man apt_preference) to choose ximin over debian ? (Not that I did...) And listed all sorces in /etc/apt/sources.list? To check situation in those environment, $ apt-cache showpkg package|less $ apt-cache show -a package|less aere usefull to find out situation. Mixing source is advanced topic which I did not now until recently. You need APT from woody or newer to do so. Its kind of neat to do things like: # apt-get install one-package/unstable another/testing Of course one have to be carefull about dependencies. I am learning this thoing now. Best source of information is: #apt-get install apt-howto/unstable Osamu -- ~\^o^/~~~ ~\^.^/~~~ ~\^*^/~~~ ~\^_^/~~~ ~\^+^/~~~ ~\^:^/~~~ ~\^v^/~~~ + Osamu Aoki <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, GnuPG-key: 1024D/D5DE453D + + My debian quick-reference, http://www.aokiconsulting.com/quick/ +
