mm... Possible. I kinda forgot to mention that it's a laptop. Trying a different keyboard might be a little difficult. I actually did have to replace the keyboard about 6 months ago, and it was quite a hassle (Sony kept telling me that the vaio had "no user serviceable parts" even after I had taken it apart, and read them the part number off the bottom of the keyboard... It took me about a year and 5 different calls to get through to the parts department to order a new keyboard and pay only $107 instead of the $250 or so they were going to charge me to replace it). So it's new enough that I don't want to attribute it to hardware jut yet. But you're right, hardware does seem the most pausible solution, given the symptoms. :( -ben -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ben Hartshorne ...Discarding smoothly, as we disembark, [EMAIL PROTECTED] All thoughts that held us wiser for a moment ben.hartshorne.net Up there, alone, in the impartial dark. -M.
