Hi all I have installed Potato 2.2.r2 on my HP Pavilion N5450 Laptop and this system uses a Accton en2242 nic card that uses the tulip driver. I know that I've seen this discussed on this list but I am unable to find it. I have downloaded the drivers for the card and did a cp pci-scan.o tulip.o lib/modules/2.2.18pre21/net. I then did a depmod -a and got the unresolved symbols. I had Mandrake installed Kerenel 2.4.3 on this system and the nic worked right after installation. I copied the drivers (tulip.o.gz and tulip_cb.o.gz) that it was using but did not do anything with them, I didn't know what to do with them. I have searched the net and from what I have found, I'm suspose to compile the driver, but all the information I see is for the RedHat distro. To do that I understand that I need the kernel-source for my kernel, where can I get the source for 2.2.18pre21? I also did a make xconfig and looked to see if tulip was a option in the nic drivers in the kernel and did not find it for 2.2.18pre21. Any and all help on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks Don
