Smoothwall is a Red Hat-based distribution used as a firewall. I've tested version 0.96 and 0.98; the latter takes up around 78 meg. It installs automatically and after that you can do the configuring from any machine on your network. It has a nice GUI for stuff like setting up ppp, dns, dhcp etc. It could be a good start for someone who knows little about using Linux as a firewall. Sam -- (Sam Varghese) http://www.gnubies.com
