No hard feelings. One thing, though, is that I've seen you write intemperate messages on other occasions, too, most recently on the ext3 mailing list. That was nowhere near as bad as your /tmp rant, but it was equally unnecessary. May I respectfully suggest that you pay a little more attention to your way of expressing yourself, and keep in mind that the people who annoy you, whether it's Debian volunteers who develop system boot scripts, or ext3 users who ask "where's the patch for 2.4.10" less than an hour after 2.4.10 is released, are still entitled to basic civility? I've also seen you contribute interesting and well-informed commentary on technical issues, such as the recent thread on the Linux 2.4 VM on Slashdot. You obviously aren't an idiot and you clearly have much to contribute. I think you'll find that you can contribute more effectively, and without obscuring your own message, if you keep a tight rein on your emotional outbursts and stick to making your points with clarity.
