ok i think u were referring to mpg123? now here's the bit where i'm a real pain in the ass, the machine i'm doing this on doesn't have the couns card configured.. and mpg123 -w is asking for /dev/dsp anyway to do this without a sound card configured? it's not like i want to play the music on this thing...
