A friend of mine who runs a weblog site with net access through speakeasy recently suffered a DOS attack. Speakeasy's technical support were, in my friend's opinion, unhelpful and unwilling to do anything. He ended up simply moving the site to another access provider; the attack has not recurred since then, so he doesn't know if the new provider would handle it any better. Craig
