pppconfig is the simplest and easiest tool to set up a connection. and after you set it up, you only need to know two commands to use it - pon <connection_name> and poff <connection_name>. or if you have a permanent connection, you can write a simple script to dial out when the line drops. /resolv.conf contains only the name of your nameservers - not much involved in inputting that manually. same goes for the hosts files. sam -- (Sam Varghese) http://www.gnubies.com
