Using mod_auth_mysql 2.2, with later versions of apache, I had problems with it (building from scratch, both apache+mod_auth_mysql).
The simple fix, was in apMakefile.tmpl change alloc.h to ap_alloc.h as alloc.h does not exist in current apache source trees. (not sure if it existed before, but I assume so). I thought about submitting a patch, but as it doesn't seem to be maintained anymore, I havn't taken the time to do so. J.R.
