PPTP is a great example of MS security in action, see http://www.counterpane.com/pptp.html and http://oliver.efri.hr/~crv/security/bugs/NT/pptp2.html. It can be a serious liability if you use an early revision and the later ones still have some serious concerns. Go IPSec, even if it is a little more difficult.
