Are you running KDE? I saw behavior like this under KDE until I unset the "Apply fonts and colors to non-KDE apps" checkbox in the control center. On my system, it's in the ControlCenter->Look&Feel->Style frame. I run KDE 2.2, when I run KDE. :-) Dan
