Thanks for the response, and that is the exact message that I was getting, but the response leads me to this question, If during the installation it was not preconfiguring the packages, how do I know that they were configured right? Also I was not trying to deinstall startx, when I typed startx I received the unknown command response, I had to apt-get install xdm for that command to work.
