Greets!

I've been using Debian unstable for quite some time now on a dual-boot
system with Win2k and I think I've fallen in love with it. That's why I'm
thinking of kicking Win2k out and having a Linux-only system.
My question is whether it would be possible to install Debian onto a
software RAID (which is not in place at the moment because NTFS partitions
are covering 2 out of 3 harddisks) and how that would work.

I thought of creating a small ext2 partition mounted as /boot and then
having one linear RAID mounted as / - would this be a good idea? I've never
had any harddisk crashes, that's why I think that using a linear RAID
wouldn't be too much of a problem...but how do I create it prior to
installing Debian?

Is this possible? How would I do it without turning my computer into a huge
paperweight?
