After some recent apt-upgrades, devfsd is producing some odd behavior. In particular, on boot devfsd does not appear to set permissions on the /dev/sound/* devices. Restarting devfsd corrects the problem, properly chowning the devices to root.audio, and the permissions to ug+rw. Devfsd Version: 1.3.14-1, running on debian sid.
