Hi, sound on my system worked fine until a recent upgrade to the latest kde packages. I'm running debian unstable. Sound is through a via686a chip, with sound support built into the kernel. No alsa or oss on system.
No sound!!! When I load kmix there are little red lights under the CD and microphone, but no lights under the master volume control or the pcm volume control. /dev/sndstat exists dmesg reports finding the via686a ???? I can't figure out why something that used to work fine one day all of a sudden stopped working. Thanks, Mino
