I recently performed my first linux installation, and Debian potato works fine with my Maxtor 40GB drive. The BIOS on my motherboard doesn't recognize the drive, and I had to install EZ-Drive to make it work with Windows 95. With Debian potato, on the other hand, it just works! :-) Good luck, David Knudsen
