rc3 is available in "unstable". That may or may not interest you though... A direct link is here: http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US/pool/non-US/main/p/prof tpd/proftpd_1.2.1+1.2.2rc3-3_i386.deb You may be able to install it as-is. It may simply be in unstable because it's *new* and not necessarily because it requires additional, newer packages. Hall
