See http://people.debian.org/~branden/xsf/xsf.html in particular the February 27 announcement. And remember that Branden has 11 (or more?) architectures to build for, and that Debian is basically the portability lab for XFree86. Looking at 4.2, it was about five months from the first experimental debs to until it officially made it to unstable. (For 4.2, don't compare the time between 4.2's release and the first experimental debs. Branden delayed working on 4.2 because it was expected that Woody would be released real soon.) Quite a bit has changed between 4.2 and 4.3, so I wouldn't expect the time frame to be much different. -- Hubert Chan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - http://www.uhoreg.ca/ PGP/GnuPG key: 1024D/124B61FA Fingerprint: 96C5 012F 5F74 A5F7 1FF7 5291 AF29 C719 124B 61FA Key available at wwwkeys.pgp.net.
