$ dpkg -S libXpm xlibs-dev: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so xlibs-dev: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.a xlibs: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4.11 xlibs: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4 This is on an unstable box. woody should be similar. Under potato the package was called xpm4g if I recall. BTW if you are running a woody or newer box, investigate auto-apt.
