Can someone give me a hand with this NIS problem? apache:~# su - claviola su: Authentication service cannot retrieve authentication info. (Ignored) [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ This also makes me unable to login as a NIS user, so it is not just a silly warning. I get this on /var/log/auth.log: Jul 24 18:24:48 apache PAM_unix[21531]: check pass; user unknown Jul 24 18:24:48 apache PAM_unix[21531]: authentication failure; LOGIN(uid=0) -> claviola for login service Jul 24 18:24:51 apache login[21531]: FAILED LOGIN (1) on `tty6' FOR `claviola', Authentication service cannot retrieve authentication info. Note that I've read, re-read, searched Google, and done just about everything I could to make sure there was nothing wrong here. I compared my config with at least a couple of other NIS clients, which are working perfectly.
