Or, if you don't need any other name resolution, back up the original resolv.conf, and make /etc/resolv.conf a symlink to /etc/ppp/resolv.conf. That way you'll track any changes to the DNS servers automatically. Note: I haven't done this on Debian - I'm assuming Deb ppp is no different than other Linux ppp's.
