hi all, as i said in a previous message, one of my machines continuously kernel panics. i am thinking this has to do with swapping, but the swap partition is 100% bad-block free, so i am at a loss.
nevertheless, i would like to detect such a kernel panic. is it somehow possible to save the screen output from a kernel panic? then i would write an rc file that would email root this output on a new reboot and delete the file. the 60 seconds reboot configured in /proc/sys/kernel/panic works, so that way i'd know whenever the system automatically rebooted, and i could use the output for further debugging... thanks, martin; (greetings from the heart of the sun.) \____ echo mailto: !#^."<*>"|tr "<*> mailto:" [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- "god is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh." -- voltaire
