exim and the trailing")"

Here is a mysterious problem (for me at least).
All mail that goes out of my box (via exim) has a horrible trailing ")" 
attached, as you should see below. When i send mail to another user directly, 
that is @localhost, this does not happen.
I know my grammar is bad--but this makes it seem far worse
